Wax Jambu

Disciplines:

Brand identity, print, illustration.

Wax Jambu was an independent cocktail bar on Islington's Upper Street, named after a bell-shaped Indonesian fruit and run by four bartenders who came to London specifically to open it. The brief was an identity flexible enough to flow with a seasonally changing menu and interior, without losing the thread that held it all together. Botanical drawing met structural typography, printed on uncoated stocks for a naturally textured feel: friendly without being twee, considered without being precious. A brand that could change with the seasons but always felt like the same place.
